Adding Hypervisors
After the first server is installed and the cluster is online, add two more servers to complete the three-node cluster.
Additional hypervisors are added from within the Gallium Console by navigating to your cluster's Hypervisors page and clicking Add Hypervisor. From here you can:
- Select a pending hypervisor — If you already booted and adopted additional servers during cluster creation, they will appear here ready to be configured.
- Boot a new server — If you need to add a server that hasn't been booted yet, the wizard provides boot media downloads and the adopt flow to get a new server ready.
Select the server you wish to add to the cluster and proceed to configuration.
Configure
Configuration for additional hypervisors is simpler than initial cluster creation — there is no deployment name or Virtual IP to set.
Installation Disk
Select the disk where Gallium will be installed. Optionally, select additional Data Disks for VM storage.
The same disk requirements apply as during initial creation: disks must be at least 223 GB, and unsuitable disks are hidden by default.
Network Configuration
Management Network Interfaces — Select 1–2 network interfaces for the management network. When two NICs are selected, they operate in active/failover. Use the swap button to change Primary and Secondary order.
Network Address — Configure the following:
- Management IP — The IP address for this server, in CIDR notation (e.g.,
192.168.1.101/24). - Gateway — The default gateway address (e.g.,
192.168.1.1).
Each cluster member needs a unique management IP address. The Virtual IP was set during cluster creation and applies to the whole cluster.

Review & Confirm
The Console shows a summary of the configuration:
- Joining Cluster (cluster name)
- Server (name and local IP)
- Installation Disk
- Management NICs (with Primary/Secondary labels)
- Management IP
- Gateway
Disk Erasure Confirmation
Confirm erasure for each disk that will be affected. If the server has an existing installation, conflicting disks will be flagged and must be confirmed.
Disk erasure cannot be undone. All data on confirmed disks will be permanently destroyed.
Click Install Hypervisor to begin the installation.
Completing the Cluster
Repeat this process for the third server. Once all three members are installed and online, proceed to post-installation to configure storage and networking.
