Creating a Virtual Machine
You create a virtual machine from Virtual Machines in the Console with the Create Virtual Machine action, which opens a three-step wizard: Select Target, Template Selection, and Settings.

Day-to-day work on an existing virtual machine happens from its detail page in the Console.
Console Access
Edge provides a browser-based graphical console for reaching a running VM without depending on SSH, RDP, or any network service inside the guest. It is a VNC session showing the guest as it would appear on an attached monitor, and it is the only console Edge provides: there is no serial console.
Windows Configuration
Gallium Edge runs Windows virtual machines and templates alongside Linux guests. This page covers what differs for Windows; for the general creation flow, see Creating a Virtual Machine.
Importing a Virtual Machine
You can move a machine onto Gallium Edge from another hypervisor, a physical server, or a backup appliance. Whatever the source, the process is the same once you have a disk image:
Recovering an Unbootable Windows VM
A migrated Windows virtual machine that blue-screens with INACCESSIBLEBOOTDEVICE is missing the VirtIO storage driver (viostor). Edge presents VirtIO disks to virtual machines, and without the driver Windows cannot see its own boot disk. The reliable fix is installing the drivers before migration, described in Prepare a Windows Source; this page covers recovery when the machine has already been migrated.
