Getting Help
Gallium gives you a few ways to get help and find answers without leaving the Gallium Console. You can chat directly with the Gallium team, jump straight to documentation and reference material from the top bar, or grant temporary access when an issue needs a closer look at your environment. This page walks through each option so you know which one to reach for.
In-App Support Chat
The Console includes an in-app chat messenger (powered by Intercom) that connects you with the Gallium team. A floating chat launcher, a small bubble, appears in the corner of the page wherever you are in the Console, so you can ask a question without losing your place.
To start a conversation:
- Click the chat launcher (the small bubble) in the corner of the page.
- Type your message to open a new conversation with the Gallium team.
- Send your message and wait for a reply in the same window.
When you reach out, it helps to include a little context up front so the team can pick up your issue quickly. Where relevant, mention:
- Your organization: so the team can find the right environment.
- What you were trying to do: the task or workflow you were working through.
- Any error message you saw: the exact text, if one appeared.
The in-app chat is available on every license program. The support you receive through it depends on your license program. The free Community tier has limited support availability, while paid programs include fuller support.
The Help Menu
The Help menu in the top bar is the quickest way to reach reference material while you work. Open it to find links that take you out to the resources you need:
- Documentation: opens this documentation site at https://docs.gallium.cloud.
- Open Source Licenses: lists the open source licenses used by the Console.
Granting Support Access
For issues where Gallium needs to look at your environment directly, you can grant the team temporary access rather than describing everything over chat. This lets the Gallium team investigate in context and is often the fastest route to a resolution. See Granting Support Access.
