Post-Installation

Once the installation completes, your server will appear in the Gallium Console. Before you can create virtual machines, there are two things to configure: disk pools and networking.

Disk Pools

The installer automatically creates a System Pool on the installation disk. This pool is used for Gallium's internal data and can also be used for VM storage.

If your server has additional disks, you should create additional disk pools to provide dedicated storage for your virtual machines. This is recommended for production workloads to separate VM storage from the system disk. See the Disk Pools section for setup instructions.

Networking

At least one network must be created before you can deploy any virtual machines. Networks define how your VMs connect to each other and to your physical network. See the Networking section for setup instructions.
