New Windows Provisioning Experience

We've completely rebuilt the Windows VM provisioning workflow for both Standalone and Cluster Hypervisors, making it faster and more flexible to deploy Windows VMs.

The new provisioning experience lets you upload a Windows ISO directly to a template and deploy VMs without any further manual intervention. Gallium automatically provisions the appropriate drivers during deployment, removing what was previously a multi-step process.

Unattended deployment support

You can now supply your own autounattend.xml and first-run PowerShell scripts as part of the template. This enables fully automated deployments including domain joining, software installation, and any other first-boot configuration.

Answer files are encrypted end-to-end between the Console and the Hypervisor, so sensitive content such as domain join credentials is protected in transit.

What this means for you

  • Faster deployments — go from ISO to running VM with no manual steps in between
  • Greater flexibility — bring your own answer files and first-run scripts to tailor deployments to your environment
